Cats

Well apparently the BitsyCreations family was not meant to have cats.  You may have read about our new cat a few weeks ago here.  We did get him.  We brought him home & he was instantly part of our family.  We couldn't think of a name--after a few days of calling him "sweets" and "friend" and "love", we named him "Fred" because, well, if you had a smooshed in face like that, wouldn't you sound constantly congested?  Think of how you'd say, "Friend".  hehe

Fred is the sweetest little boy I've ever met--He purrs the second you even look in his direction and crawls into your lap to snuggle the isntant you sit down.  We noticed Fred's tummy was a little bloated, so we set up an appointment with the vet just thinking we'd get to meet the new doctor and set up a time to have him (the cat--not the dr.) neutured.

Turns out dearest Fred has not only a bad hip and knee, but also has Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).  It's basically a really bad virus he won't recover from.  The vet gave us a matter of months.  We've had Fred for only a few weeks, but like I said, he's already part of the family.  Not to mention it brought up all the horrible feelings of losing our Muffs all over again. :(

I don't even know what to feel right now.  My sweet hubby reminded me that it's not US.  I know that, really I do.  I just feel like I'm being picked on.  Is that bad?  I still feel ridiculously blessed.  I have a wonderful life.  But really?  We just lost our sweet Muffs in December.  It feels like yesterday.  I can't deal with another sickie. :(

A Vegas Wedding

Not long ago I had a dear Etsy friend ask me to design & create some wedding invitations for her mom.  I was thrilled!  It's a Vegas wedding & the bride and groom were looking for something simple, yet classy--and appropriate for a Vegas wedding!  So take a look--I think they turned out beautifully!

We did a little invitation suite: invitations, reply cards, and thank you cards.  As always, I'm happy to do custom orders.  And you can go browse my pre-made invitations any time you'd like.

Introducing...

Our new cat! Well, probably.
Is this the cutest little man you've ever seen?
I'm sure no matter what we name him, we'll call him Mr. French. Hehe

We're going to see him on Sunday!!! Eee!

A Bridal Shower

One of my sisters called a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would make some invitations for her! ;)  Her step-son is getting married so she & a few others are throwing a shower for his fiance.  They're getting married in Florida and one of the colors she hopes to include in the wedding is a bright pink.  That's really all we had to go on, but wow!  I was so pleased with how these turned out.  What do you think?  I love pink & black together.

Ms. Bitsy Goes to the Craft Store

So I'm really not one to complain usually... maybe you can excuse this one?

We ran to the craft store today. I usually order online--It's just so much more convenient for me, not to mention it's generally more cost-effective. But I ran out of black card stock and had to have it to finish some invitations that need to go out this week.

I didn't bother taking my son out of his carseat since we were just popping in. So it's 20+ pound baby in his car seat, 4 year old daughter who gets a little... rambunctious? while we're out and me. It's been awhile since I've been in this store so I had to drag the kids all over looking for said cardstock. Of course everything's labeled nicely EXCEPT "scrapbooking" materials. And gosh, you let me loose in a craft store and I get a little rambunctious myself! Ha! Maybe that's the real reason I shop online. So I was distracted by pretty paper, the Cricut I've been drooling over for years AND AND AND the new personal screen printer--Yudu--by Provo Craft. (Goodness, have you seen this? I want.)

So clearly I'm tired. I admit it's my own fault for the little detours to oo & ah...

But I get up to the line--there are three clerks and only two are helping people. I just go to the closest one even though he's helping someone. He finishes, I put my items on the counter and he says,

"Did you go through the line?"

And hands my daughter the stickers she'd put on the counter. By this point there were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS being helped by ANY of the three clerks. Is he kidding me?

Nope! I had to walk a few yards down to the beginning of the "line" and wait for this adorable lady to wave me to her station.

Boo.
